Turin , April 8, 2014 - Closes positively the sixth edition of EXPO Railway , 2014, exceeded the expectations of turnout with 6400 visitors, including engineers, managers and executives. The spirit of international exposure has been confirmed by the large number of foreign visitors , about 20% of the total, from 64 countries , including China , India, Russia , Japan and the USA.
At the sixth edition of EXPO Station, at the Lingotto Fiere in Turin from 1 to 3 April , 2014, was attended by 280 exhibitors, including 65 first-timers , from 17 countries . Among the visitors , the Italian State Railways , with the main companies of the group, including RFI and Trenitalia 's new high speed operator NTV and representatives of regional and local transport as Ferrovienord and GTT Gruppo Torinese Trasporti . Well represented the urban rail as the Metropolitana Milanese and the ATAC in Rome.
The event has also attracted many foreign professionals to train operators , as Infrabel from Belgium, France SNCF , DB and SBB from Germany from Switzerland . Equally important for exhibitors contacts with representatives of the manufacturing sector , searching for new products and partnerships.
Also present Rail Astra Romania, GE Transportation from the USA, Hitachi Rail Europe , Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co. Tüdemsas from China and Turkey.
Particularly interesting is the program of events and conferences , which received the Membership of the President of the Italian Republic. Of great interest to the conference organized by the College of Italian Railway Engineers IAZI on "Railway and the environment " and the presentation by the rail industry ANIE - ASSIFER on the European Rail Shift ² . Also appreciated the many presentations at the Forum Exhibitors, with contributions from leading companies , including ABB , Alstom, Siemens and Vossloh .
